What Personally Identifiable Information is collected?
We may collect basic user profile information from all of our Visitors. We collect the following additional information from our Authorized Customers: the name, email address, phone number, address, the nature and size of the business, the nature and size of the advertising inventory that the Authorized Customer intends to purchase or sell.
In relation to training courses and CPD activities, Malta Quality Education may also collect and process course-related personal data, including participant name and surname, email address, telephone number, institution or organisation, professional role, area of responsibility, previous professional experience relevant to the course, course registration details, payment or billing information, attendance records, certificate information, communications relating to the course, and any information voluntarily provided by the participant in relation to participation, access or support needs.
What organizations are collecting the information?
In addition to our direct collection of information, our third party service vendors (such as credit card companies, clearinghouses and banks) who may provide such services as credit, insurance, and escrow services may collect this information from our Visitors and Authorized Customers. We do not control how these third parties use such information, but we do ask them to disclose how they use personal information provided to them from Visitors and Authorized Customers. Some of these third parties may be intermediaries that act solely as links in the distribution chain, and do not store, retain, or use the information given to them.
Payments, orders and billing
Where a participant or an institution registers for a paid course, Malta Quality Education may process order, payment and billing information for the purpose of managing the registration, confirming payment, issuing receipts or invoices where applicable, handling administrative records and complying with accounting, tax and legal obligations.
Online payments may be processed through third-party payment service providers. Malta Quality Education does not directly store full payment card details, unless otherwise clearly indicated by the relevant payment system. Payment providers may process payment data according to their own privacy policies and security standards.
Payer and participant data
In some cases, the person or institution paying for a course may be different from the participant attending the course. Malta Quality Education may therefore process both payer data and participant data.
Payer data is used mainly for order management, payment confirmation, billing, accounting and administrative purposes. Participant data is used mainly for course administration, communication, access to live sessions, attendance monitoring, learning support and preparation of Certificates of Attendance.
Where a payer provides personal data relating to another participant, the payer is responsible for ensuring that the participant is informed that their data has been provided to Malta Quality Education for course administration purposes.
How does the Site use Personally Identifiable Information?
We use Personally Identifiable Information to customize the Site, to make appropriate service offerings, and to fulfill buying and selling requests on the Site. We may email Visitors and Authorized Customers about research or purchase and selling opportunities on the Site or information related to the subject matter of the Site. We may also use Personally Identifiable Information to contact Visitors and Authorized Customers in response to specific inquiries, or to provide requested information.
Training courses and CPD activities
Malta Quality Education may process personal data for the organisation, promotion, registration, delivery and administration of training courses, CPD activities, webinars, workshops and related educational services.

- managing course enquiries and registrations;
- identifying and communicating with participants;
- processing orders, payments, invoices, receipts and administrative records;
- sending course information, access links, joining instructions and learning materials;
- managing live online sessions and related course communications;

- providing participant support;
- managing course feedback and quality improvement activities;

Live online sessions and recordings
Training courses and CPD activities may be delivered through live online platforms, such as videoconferencing or virtual meeting tools. In this context, Malta Quality Education may process participant names, email addresses, attendance data, chat messages, audio, video, screen names and other data generated during the online session, where applicable.
Where a live online session is recorded, participants will be informed in advance. Recordings may be used for course delivery, participant access for the same course edition, internal quality assurance, documentation, evidence of delivery and improvement purposes.
Recordings shall not be used for unrelated promotional or commercial purposes without appropriate consent.
Attendance records and certificates
Malta Quality Education may process attendance and participation data in order to monitor course participation, verify eligibility for Certificates of Attendance, prepare certificates, maintain administrative records and respond to participant requests relating to course attendance.
Certificates of Attendance may include the participant’s name and surname, course title, course dates, delivery mode, total duration and issuing organisation.
With whom may the information may be shared?
Personally Identifiable Information about Authorized Customers may be shared with other Authorized Customers who wish to evaluate potential transactions with other Authorized Customers. We may share aggregated information about our Visitors, including the demographics of our Visitors and Authorized Customers, with our affiliated agencies and third party vendors. We also offer the opportunity to “opt out” of receiving information or being contacted by us or by any agency acting on our behalf.
For the purposes of organising and delivering training courses and CPD activities, personal data may also be shared, where necessary and on a need-to-know basis, with trainers, course coordinators, administrative staff, online meeting platforms, learning or communication tools, payment service providers, accounting or fiscal consultants, IT providers and other service providers involved in the organisation, administration or delivery of the course.

Course-related communications and participation records may be retained for a reasonable period in order to document course delivery, manage participant requests and support quality improvement.
Where live online sessions are recorded, the applicable retention period will be determined according to the purpose of the recording and communicated to participants where appropriate.
Can a Visitor delete or deactivate Personally Identifiable Information collected by the Site?
We provide Visitors and Authorized Customers with a mechanism to delete/deactivate Personally Identifiable Information from the Site’s database by contacting. However, because of backups and records of deletions, it may be impossible to delete a Visitor’s entry without retaining some residual information. An individual who requests to have Personally Identifiable Information deactivated will have this information functionally deleted, and we will not sell, transfer, or use Personally Identifiable Information relating to that individual in any way moving forward.
