Ghania Zgheib is an experienced academic and independent expert in digital learning, instructional design and e-learning quality assurance. She work focuses on the design, delivery and quality enhancement of online and blended learning environments, with particular attention to higher education contexts, learner engagement, faculty readiness and the effective use of digital technologies for teaching and learning.

Her has contributed to quality assurance initiatives related to online learning in Malta, including MFHEA activities on quality assurance guidelines and regulations for online learning providers.

Quality online learning requires more than the use of technology. It requires sound instructional design, clear learning outcomes, appropriate assessment, student support, academic integrity and continuous quality review.

Within Malta Quality Education’s professional training activities, Ghania contributes as an independent associate expert, supporting the digital learning and e-learning quality assurance dimension of selected training initiatives. Her contribution is particularly relevant for institutions seeking to understand how online and blended provision should be designed, monitored and improved in line with quality assurance expectations.

Fee for University

These are the fees for the administrative fee only, provided by MFHEA, to obtain the license.

Application Fee €700

and

Administrative Fee €10,000

and

Review process fee: €4,300
(In case of online/blended provision, an additional cost of €1,400 applies)
This fee includes the full costs for a two-day accreditation visit and the review process until completion.
This fee also covers the cost of a three-member peer review panel. In the case of online/blended provision, a fourth panel member will be appointed. The accreditation visit consists of a minimum of two days. If, during the process, it is determined that additional days are required, the applicant will be informed accordingly, and an additional fee will apply.
