He currently serves as Accreditation and Quality Assurance Coordinator at Malta Quality Education, where he supports education providers in navigating licensing procedures, programme accreditation processes and institutional quality assurance requirements under the Maltese regulatory framework.

Strong accreditation and quality assurance systems are essential to building trust in education. Institutions must not only meet regulatory requirements, but also demonstrate their capacity to deliver meaningful and internationally credible learning experiences.

Lawrence brings extensive experience gained through his previous leadership role at the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), where he served as Head of Accreditation, Licensing, Validation and Quality Assurance, overseeing the regulatory processes that govern education providers operating in or from Malta.

In this capacity, he worked closely with institutions seeking licensing and accreditation, ensuring that their governance structures, academic programmes and quality assurance mechanisms met national standards and aligned with the Malta Qualifications Framework and the broader European quality assurance architecture.
