With over 25 years of experience in business consulting, international project design, and education management, Sergio brings a strategic and pragmatic approach to supporting institutions in their path toward growth, compliance, and international cooperation. He has developed and led numerous initiatives within EU-funded programmes, helping universities and training centres expand their impact and operational capacity.

Before founding Malta Quality Education as a project within ARP Group, Sergio led multiple ventures in the fields of internationalisation, quality systems, and cross-border consulting. His experience includes roles as an advisor for public institutions, a business development mentor, and a speaker on educational innovation and EU cooperation frameworks.

Today, he oversees all strategic and operational aspects of Malta Quality Education, guiding institutions through the complexities of licensing, accreditation, and long-term quality assurance.

Fee for University

These are the fees for the administrative fee only, provided by MFHEA, to obtain the license.

Application Fee €700

and

Administrative Fee €10,000

and

Review process fee: €4,300
(In case of online/blended provision, an additional cost of €1,400 applies)
This fee includes the full costs for a two-day accreditation visit and the review process until completion.
This fee also covers the cost of a three-member peer review panel. In the case of online/blended provision, a fourth panel member will be appointed. The accreditation visit consists of a minimum of two days. If, during the process, it is determined that additional days are required, the applicant will be informed accordingly, and an additional fee will apply.

Per diem fees for international peer reviewer: €205*

If the reviewer would need to travel to countries other than Malta, the per Diem Rates will be calculated as per the per diem rates specified in the following link: PerDiemRates_a.xlsx (gov.mt).
